A major strategic meeting of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) is underway in Lucknow under the leadership of party chief Mayawati, focusing on preparations for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. More than 1400 party officials, including district presidents, assembly-level leaders, and key organizational office bearers, are participating in the meeting. The discussion is centered on strengthening the party’s ground-level structure, expanding mass support, and reviewing organizational preparedness for the upcoming electoral battle. During the meeting, party workers are also being cautioned about alleged political conspiracies and tactics aimed at weakening the BSP. The leadership emphasized the need to stay alert and focused on public issues, while also criticizing the trend of caste and religion-based politics, stating that it increases social division and weakens national interest. The meeting comes at a time when political activity in Uttar Pradesh is intensifying ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections, which are expected to be held by early 2027 for all 403 seats in the state legislature. The session is seen as part of BSP’s broader effort to rebuild its organizational strength and electoral influence in the state.
