Congress women workers staged a protest near the Supreme Court, demanding justice for the Unnao gang rape victim and opposing former MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar. Due to the sensitivity of the case, the area was cordoned off with barricades, preventing protesters from reaching the Supreme Court gates. Demonstrators alleged bias in the case and claimed pressure was being exerted to weaken the investigation and influence the judiciary. The protesters said they have high hopes from the Supreme Court and expect a fair verdict. Meanwhile, ahead of the hearing, Sengar’s lawyer stated that faith should be maintained in India’s justice system. The CBI’s appeal challenging the High Court order granting bail to Sengar is listed for hearing, with both CBI counsel and Sengar’s lawyers present in court.
