STUDENT UPRISING: NSUI Protests Outside NTA Office Over NEET Leak, Demands Ban

Massive protests erupted outside the National Testing Agency office in New Delhi as Congress-backed student organization NSUI staged a fierce demonstration against the alleged NEET paper leak controversy. Carrying placards, raising slogans, and sitting on the roads near the NTA headquarters, student activists demanded a complete ban on the agency and called for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

The protest witnessed heavy participation from NSUI workers and students who accused the examination body of repeatedly failing to protect the integrity of national-level entrance examinations. Demonstrators alleged that repeated paper leak controversies have destroyed the trust of lakhs of students and compromised the future of aspirants preparing for highly competitive medical entrance tests. Visuals from the protest site showed police personnel trying to control the gathering as protesters climbed barricades, shouted slogans against the central government, and staged a sit-in outside the office gates. NSUI leaders claimed the protest would continue until accountability is fixed and stronger action is taken against those responsible for examination irregularities. Several student leaders alleged that repeated paper leak incidents reflect systemic failures within the examination mechanism and demanded structural reforms in the testing process. Protesters also criticized the government’s handling of student issues, claiming that educational institutions and examination systems are being weakened by corruption and mismanagement. Calls for dissolving or restructuring the NTA became the central theme of the demonstration. The protest has intensified the political battle over examination transparency and student welfare, with opposition groups attempting to corner the government over recurring allegations linked to recruitment and entrance examinations. Security around the NTA office was tightened as police monitored the demonstration and attempted to disperse crowds gathering at the protest site. The NEET controversy continues to trigger nationwide outrage among students and parents, adding pressure on authorities to ensure fairness, transpareancy, and credibility in India’s competitive examination system.
