SOLAR ECLIPSE 2026: “Ring of Fire” to Appear During Annular Eclipse

Today marks the first solar eclipse of the year, and it has sparked curiosity, doubts, and questions among people about its possible impact on human life and the world. On a special show on ABP News, experts including astrologers, rationalists, and scientists are discussing every aspect of the eclipse to address public concerns. The solar eclipse will begin at 3:26 PM (IST). At 5:12 PM, the “Ring of Fire” will form — a bright, thin ring of sunlight visible around the Moon as it partially covers the Sun. The maximum effect will be visible at 5:42 PM, and the eclipse will conclude at 7:57 PM. Scientifically, a solar eclipse is considered a natural astronomical event and an opportunity for research. However, astrologers believe it can influence the environment and human life. In India, various religious beliefs and traditional practices are associated with eclipses, including fasting, avoiding food, and precautions for pregnant women. Importantly, this solar eclipse will not be visible in India. It will be seen in parts of South America, Southern Africa, Mauritius, and over the Atlantic Ocean. Since it is not visible in India, questions remain about whether traditional rituals such as Sutak will apply.
