RJD Reacts: Manoj Jha Calls Nitish Kumar’s Rajya Sabha Move a Scripted BJP Strategy

Amid the political upheaval in Bihar following Nitish Kumar’s decision to file his Rajya Sabha nomination, Manoj Jha, senior RJD MP, has openly criticized the move, claiming it was orchestrated by the BJP. Speaking to reporters, Jha suggested that Nitish’s sudden announcement, after decades of leading Bihar, was guided by “Delhi scripts” rather than the leader’s own independent decision. He emphasized that Nitish had served Bihar for over two decades and questioned the narrative that his Rajya Sabha shift was purely a personal choice, calling it instead a calculated strategy by BJP to gain control of Bihar’s chief ministerial post. Jha also pointed out the timing of the announcement, coinciding with widespread media coverage across platforms and social media, which he sees as a coordinated effort. Opposition leaders are preparing to challenge BJP’s maneuvers, with Tejashwi Yadav scheduled to address a press conference soon, likely intensifying criticism of the ruling party. Bihar’s political landscape remains volatile, with JD(U) workers expressing disappointment and key leadership decisions pending, raising questions about the future governance of the state.
