Two severe accidents in India’s northern states have shocked the nation. On the Jaipur-Ajmer highway in Rajasthan, a truck carrying LPG cylinders collided with a chemical-laden tanker, triggering a chain of massive explosions. Flames engulfed the vehicles, and exploding cylinders were thrown hundreds of meters, creating a terrifying spectacle. The blasts continued for nearly two hours, causing panic among nearby locals and diners at roadside dhabas, while 20 fire engines struggled for hours to control the fire. Approximately 330 LPG cylinders were on the truck, with 200 exploding in the inferno, damaging nearby vehicles and property. In Himachal Pradesh, a landslide struck a passenger bus in Bilaspur near a bridge, triggered by debris falling from the mountains. The incident left travelers trapped and created chaos on the roads. Authorities and rescue teams quickly responded to both emergencies, preventing larger casualties. These incidents highlight the vulnerability of highways and mountainous regions during extreme conditions, as well as the risks posed by transporting hazardous materials. The visuals from both accidents show the scale of destruction—vehicles destroyed, roads blocked, and people in shock. Residents are urged to stay alert and follow safety protocols while traveling, as authorities continue investigations and relief efforts.
