Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to respond to the President’s Address in the Rajya Sabha today. His reply in the Lok Sabha could not take place earlier due to continuous disruptions by the opposition. On the previous day, opposition women MPs surrounded the Prime Minister’s chair, leading to intense uproar, and similar scenes are anticipated again in the Lok Sabha. The political atmosphere has further heated up after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi raised questions about claims made in former Army Chief General Manoj Naravane’s book, demanding answers from the government. At the same time, controversy continues over Rahul Gandhi’s “traitor” remark, triggering sharp reactions from BJP leaders. Union Minister Ravneet Bittu accused the Gandhi family of having long-standing issues with turbans and Punjabis, while Delhi minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa stated that the Gandhi family, not Sikhs, should be called traitors. Meanwhile, floor leaders of the INDIA alliance are scheduled to meet to discuss parliamentary strategy. The meeting may also deliberate on bringing an impeachment motion against the Chief Election Commissioner over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) issue, along with planning the opposition’s approach for the ongoing Parliament session.
