Politics News: India‑US Trade Deal Seen Beneficial by Ministers, Farmers and Manufacturing to Gain

Union Minister of State for Agriculture Bhagirath Choudhary has described the newly signed India‑US trade deal as a major win for Indian farmers, saying it will promote their prosperity and safeguard their rights. In an exclusive conversation with ABP News, he emphasized that India, as an agrarian nation, places farmers at the center of its policy, and the deal aligns with national priorities under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. Choudhary stated that the agreement will not harm the agriculture or dairy sector, and farmers’ interests remain fully protected. He also linked the trade pact to India’s broader development vision for 2047, highlighting that strategic economic measures, including this deal, will contribute to building India as a developed nation. Meanwhile, Union Minister Chirag Paswan said the deal will strengthen India’s manufacturing and export sectors, presenting the country as a global production hub. He added that the opposition’s criticism spreads confusion and may weaken India’s international image, stressing that diplomacy and international agreements require a unified national stance. With both agriculture and manufacturing highlighted as key beneficiaries, ministers argue the India‑US trade deal is a strategic step for economic growth and global positioning.
