Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju has released a video allegedly showing Opposition MPs inside the Lok Sabha Speaker’s chamber during a heated exchange. The video, which Rijiju claims was recorded by Congress MPs themselves, has intensified the political row in Parliament. The government has alleged that around 20–25 Congress MPs forcibly entered the Speaker’s chamber and used inappropriate language. Rijiju stated that while senior Congress leaders like Priyanka Gandhi and K.C. Venugopal were present, abusive remarks were made in their presence. He further alleged that some MPs made threatening remarks regarding the Prime Minister’s address in the House. Rijiju said the government exercised restraint despite provocation and accused the Congress of repeatedly spreading misinformation. He contrasted the incident with past parliamentary conduct, claiming that even during strong protests, BJP leaders never crossed into the ruling party’s designated space. Meanwhile, both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha witnessed heavy disruptions. As soon as proceedings began, Opposition members raised slogans, leading to adjournment of the Lok Sabha till 12 noon.
