Union Home Minister Amit Shah continued his second day of campaigning in Assam after visiting West Bengal, holding a major roadshow in Guwahati. Speaking to ABP News, he expressed strong confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party will secure over 90 seats in the upcoming Assam Assembly elections, achieving a third consecutive term. Shah credited the leadership of Narendra Modi and Himanta Biswa Sarma for infrastructure growth, increased investment, job creation, and transforming Guwahati into a healthcare hub for the Northeast. Targeting Mamata Banerjee, he claimed public sentiment in Bengal has turned against her government and predicted political change. Responding to Congress leaders like Priyanka Gandhi and Gaurav Gogoi, Shah dismissed their chances, asserting BJP’s clear majority win. He also rejected allegations regarding labeling Bengalis as Bangladeshis, accusing opponents of protecting infiltrators, and dismissed claims against the Election Commission, stating elections are being conducted fairly across India.
