Political Flash: Lok Sabha Adjourned Till 2 PM Amid Continuous Opposition Uproar

Preparations for the Lok Sabha proceedings were underway as the House convened, but the session was immediately disrupted by continuous protests from the Opposition. From the very beginning, opposition members raised slogans from their seats, creating a noisy atmosphere inside the House. Despite repeated appeals by the Speaker to maintain decorum and allow the proceedings to continue, the uproar did not subside. The Speaker attempted to carry on with the listed business and urged members to respect parliamentary norms, but the Opposition remained adamant and continued their sloganeering. The persistent disruptions made it difficult for the House to function smoothly. Several times, the Speaker cautioned members that such conduct was against the dignity of the House and appealed for cooperation so that important legislative work could be taken up. However, the appeals went unheeded, and the situation showed no signs of improvement. With the disorder continuing and no consensus in sight, the Speaker was left with no option but to adjourn the Lok Sabha proceedings. As a result, the House was adjourned till 2:00 PM. The repeated disruptions once again highlighted the ongoing confrontation between the government and the Opposition, raising concerns over the loss of valuable parliamentary time and the smooth functioning of the democratic process.
