PM Narendra Modi Pays Tribute To Mahatma Gandhi At Rajghat On 156th Birth Anniversary

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today reached Rajghat in New Delhi to pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi on his 156th birth anniversary. The solemn occasion is being observed as Gandhi Jayanti across the nation and is also recognized globally as the International Day of Non-Violence. The Prime Minister offered floral tributes at Bapu’s samadhi, honoring the Father of the Nation for his unparalleled role in India’s freedom struggle and his timeless message of truth, peace, and non-violence.The ceremony at Rajghat included an interfaith prayer service attended by leaders, dignitaries, and citizens from across the country. Devotional songs and readings from different religions were presented, reflecting Gandhi’s philosophy of unity in diversity and his vision of harmony across communities.Every year, on this day, the Prime Minister and other leaders gather at Rajghat to remember Gandhi’s ideals and their relevance in today’s world.
