PM Modi Launches ₹3,700 Crore Projects in Arunachal and Tripura, Slams Congress for Neglect

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Arunachal Pradesh and Tripura, where he inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for development projects worth ₹3,700 crore. In Tripura, he addressed the public from the premises of the famous Tripura Sundari Temple, emphasizing his government’s commitment to holistic development in the North-East. He accused the Congress party of neglecting Arunachal Pradesh during its tenure, saying the party is “expert at hiding its failures.”In Itanagar, PM Modi held discussions with traders and industrial representatives, focusing on recent GST reforms. He reiterated that the new GST rates are aimed at boosting small and medium enterprises but acknowledged that compliance remains an issue in some places. A reality check in Kanpur revealed that vendors were still charging old prices for bottled water despite the revised GST rates.PM Modi also stressed the importance of promoting Swadeshi (indigenous) products, calling on citizens to make their homes symbols of self-reliance. Meanwhile, CM Yogi Adityanath met traders in Gorakhpur to discuss the impact of GST reforms on local businesses.Separately, heavy rains in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan caused flooding, crop damage, and even fatalities, while India’s resounding victory over Pakistan in the Asia Cup sparked celebrations across the nation.
