Patna News: Massive Fire Engulfs Saree Shop in Khusrupur Vegetable Market, Losses Worth Lakhs

A major fire incident was reported late at night from Patna’s Khusrupur area, where a massive blaze broke out in a saree shop located inside the local vegetable market. The fire erupted around 11 PM and quickly spread throughout the shop and the first floor above it, causing panic in the surrounding area. According to initial reports, the flames intensified within minutes, leaving the entire shop completely gutted. Thick smoke and towering flames could be seen from a distance. Fire brigade teams were immediately rushed to the spot, and after sustained efforts, the fire was brought under control. However, by the time the flames were doused, the shop had been reduced to ashes. The fire also caused damage to nearby houses and establishments, raising concerns among local residents. While no casualties have been reported so far, officials estimate that property worth several lakhs of rupees has been destroyed in the incident. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined. Authorities have stated that a detailed investigation will be conducted to ascertain whether the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit or any other reason. Visuals from the scene clearly show the intensity of the blaze and the scale of destruction. Police and fire department officials remain on alert, and further assessment of damages is underway.
