After years of anticipation, the much-awaited Patna Metro is finally being inaugurated today, October 6. This marks a significant milestone in Bihar’s urban transportation system, aimed at easing traffic congestion and improving public mobility in the state capital. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will formally inaugurate this ambitious project at the Pataliputra ISBT Metro Station. From here, he will flag off the first metro train, marking the beginning of metro operations in Patna. The event will be attended by Urban Development Minister Jivesh Kumar, the Deputy Chief Minister, senior officials, and several public representatives. The launch of the Patna Metro represents a major step toward modernizing the city’s infrastructure. It is expected to provide a faster, cleaner, and more efficient mode of transport for the people of Patna, significantly reducing travel time across key areas of the city.
