In Pakistan, demands to meet former Prime Minister Imran Khan have intensified, leading to massive protests in Rawalpindi. Supporters of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf held a strong demonstration outside Adiala Jail after Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi was once again denied permission to meet Imran Khan. This was his seventh attempt to visit the PTI founder, but the jail authorities refused entry, triggering further anger among party workers. The Adiala Jail administration later issued a statement claiming that Imran Khan is healthy and has not been shifted anywhere. However, Imran Khan’s family and supporters allege that he hasn’t been allowed any meetings for several weeks. With Imran Khan imprisoned for the past two and a half years, protests continue outside the jail demanding access and transparency.
