NEWS UPDATE: PM Modi to Launch ₹12,930 Crore Projects in Meerut, Flag Off Namo Bharat Corridor

Narendra Modi is set to visit Meerut in Uttar Pradesh today, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for development projects worth approximately ₹12,930 crore. The visit marks a significant push toward infrastructure expansion and regional connectivity in western Uttar Pradesh. During the program, the Prime Minister will flag off the Namo Bharat corridor and the Meerut Metro, aimed at improving urban mobility and reducing travel time between key economic hubs. Officials say the projects include transport, urban development, and public infrastructure initiatives designed to strengthen economic growth and employment generation in the region. The launch of the high-speed regional transit system is expected to transform daily commuting, offering faster and modern connectivity for thousands of passengers. Security has been heightened across Meerut ahead of the Prime Minister’s arrival, with large public gatherings anticipated at the event venue.
