New Year 2026: From Kiribati to Kanyakumari, New Year 2026 Welcomed with Grand Celebrations

The world has joyfully welcomed the New Year 2026 with grand celebrations and vibrant enthusiasm. The first rays of 2026 were seen in Kiribati and New Zealand, followed by Australia, Japan, South Korea, and other regions as the new year progressed across time zones. Fireworks, music, and public gatherings marked the global celebrations. In India, cities and states celebrated in diverse ways, blending modern festivities with deep-rooted traditions. From Kanyakumari’s first sunrise of 2026 to celebrations in Kolkata and Goa, the festive spirit was evident everywhere. Goa witnessed a massive influx of tourists celebrating the New Year with beach parties and events. Alongside celebrations, devotional fervor dominated religious cities. Ayodhya, Kashi, Ujjain, Vaishno Devi, Tirupati, Siddhivinayak, Hanuman Mandir in Delhi, and Khatu Shyam Ji saw lakhs of devotees offering prayers for peace, prosperity, and well-being. Temples were beautifully decorated, special rituals were performed, and devotees began the year seeking divine blessings.
