New Judgment: All 23 AAP Leaders Cleared in Delhi Liquor Policy Case by Court

In a landmark ruling, all 23 accused in the Delhi liquor policy case, including Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, and senior AAP leader Sanjay Singh, have been discharged by the court. The verdict came after detailed examination of charge sheets, witness statements, and thousands of documents, leading the court to conclude that the case did not have legal merit. The decision also raised questions over the CBI investigation and highlighted misuse of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) in politically sensitive matters. AAP leaders, represented by Saurabh Bharadwaj, described the case as politically motivated, intended to disrupt Delhi government functioning and hinder election prospects. The ruling has set a precedent, clarifying that PMLA provisions cannot be applied without a legitimate predicate offense, strengthening safeguards against misuse of investigative agencies for political ends. This development marks a significant moment in Indian politics, vindicating AAP’s stance and reinforcing judicial oversight in high-profile corruption and economic offense cases. The party emphasized the importance of focusing on governance, public service, and transparency, urging political opponents to prioritize citizen welfare over political vendettas.
