National Herald Case: Congress Leaders Protest, Allege ED Targeting Gandhi Family

In the ongoing National Herald case, Congress leaders held a large protest alleging that the Gandhi family is being unfairly targeted by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Demonstrators raised slogans like “Satyamev Jayate,” expressing solidarity with Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, and other family members. The protest comes after Rahul Gandhi underwent over 55 hours of questioning and Sonia Gandhi was questioned for around 8 hours in connection with the case. While the BJP stated that the ED’s charge sheet was not recognized by the court on technical grounds and may be challenged further, Congress claims the investigation is politically motivated. Lawmakers staged the protest in both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, drawing national attention to the case.
