Nation Remembers: 7th Anniversary of Pulwama Attack, Tributes to 40 Bravehearts

India is observing the seventh anniversary of the 2019 Pulwama terror attack, paying heartfelt tributes to the 40 CRPF personnel who lost their lives in one of the deadliest attacks on security forces in the region. On 14 February 2019, a suicide bomber rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into a CRPF convoy in Pulwama, triggering a massive blast that shook the nation. The attack was claimed by Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed. The incident led to a major shift in India’s counter-terror strategy and heightened tensions between India and Pakistan. On the occasion, tributes are being paid at the CRPF Regimental Centre in Lethpora, where a memorial dedicated to the fallen soldiers stands as a symbol of sacrifice and resilience. CRPF Director General G P Singh is scheduled to offer homage to the martyrs. Security has been tightened across Jammu and Kashmir with a high alert in place. Floral tributes and ceremonial honors mark the solemn remembrance, as the nation stands united in honoring its heroes.
