MEENAKSHI NOMINATION ROW: Supreme Court Dismisses Meenakshi Natarajan’s Plea, No Relief on Rajya Sabha Nomination

The Court held that the case was not maintainable, relying on Article 329 of the Constitution, which bars judicial intervention in election matters while the electoral process is underway. It clarified that any grievance against the Returning Officer’s decision or election procedure can only be pursued through an election petition after the completion of the election. The ruling came amid protests by Congress leaders and legislators in Delhi and Madhya Pradesh.
