Major Update: Fellow Athlete Yash Khatik Arrested in Murder Case

Ghaziabad has witnessed another shocking crime with the alleged murder of international para-athlete Chirag Tyagi. His body was found in the Shahi Upvan area with serious injury marks, prompting a police investigation. Following preliminary inquiries, police arrested fellow para-athlete Yash Khatik on charges of murder. Investigators are also examining whether any other individuals were involved in the crime. According to police, the motive appears to be linked to a dispute over document verification and sports qualification. Chirag had reportedly filed complaints regarding Yash’s documents, which allegedly resulted in the cancellation of Yash’s qualification. Police believe this may have led to resentment and a revenge-driven attack. Authorities claim that Chirag was shot with a pistol, and efforts are underway to recover the weapon. The victim’s body has been sent for post-mortem examination, while CCTV footage and other evidence are being analyzed. The incident has caused widespread concern, especially as it comes shortly after another high-profile murder case in Ghaziabad, raising fresh questions about public safety and law enforcement.
