A major political development has emerged from Maharashtra as internal differences within the Mahayuti alliance have intensified over seat sharing for the upcoming BMC elections. Sources indicate that the Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) is unhappy with the BJP’s offer of only 52 seats, while it is demanding around 125 seats to secure a stronger role after the polls. Both parties are aware of the strategic importance of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, making negotiations difficult. A second round of talks is scheduled today in Mumbai, with senior leaders from both sides expected to participate. The outcome of these discussions will be crucial in determining alliance unity and electoral strategy ahead of the high-stakes civic polls.
