Maharashtra leaders Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray held a press conference and criticized the government over the ongoing student-related protests and alleged police action. Raj Thackeray said that years of public anger and dissatisfaction have come to the surface and claimed that some people are trying to divert the movement by creating violence. He questioned the presence of unidentified people in civilian clothes carrying police batons and alleged that some outsiders were attempting to weaken the protest. He accused the government of using force against students and said people should raise their voices against such actions. The Thackeray brothers announced a march on Sunday from Shivaji Park to Siddhivinayak Temple, describing it as a show of public strength. Raj Thackeray said the march would be a way to demand accountability and seek a solution. He also targeted the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying the issue has now gone beyond state-level leadership and reached the highest level of government.
