A major political development is expected in Maharashtra as six rebel MPs from the camp of Uddhav Thackeray are reportedly set to formally join the faction led by Eknath Shinde. According to reports, an official letter and photograph of the leaders are expected to be released in the morning, followed by a formal induction event in the afternoon. Some of the MPs have already released video messages indicating their decision to leave Uddhav Thackeray’s camp and align themselves with the Shinde-led Shiv Sena. Reports also suggest that the leaders will travel to Mumbai and participate in a joint press conference with Eknath Shinde after officially joining the party. The development is being viewed as another significant shift in Maharashtra politics and could further strengthen the Shinde faction while dealing a setback to the Uddhav Thackeray-led group.
