Lord Ganesha, Mumbai’s most revered deity during Ganesh Utsav, is being given a grand and emotional farewell as thousands of devotees gather at Girgaon Chowpatty for the immersion ceremony. The 10-day festival, celebrated with devotion and joy across Maharashtra, has now reached its conclusion with the traditional visarjan.Before the immersion, elaborate rituals and prayers were conducted, followed by a vibrant Shobha Yatra. People from across India and even abroad traveled to Mumbai during Ganesh Chaturthi to seek blessings, making this one of the city’s largest cultural and religious gatherings.Authorities have deployed heavy security at Girgaon Chowpatty to manage the massive crowds and ensure smooth immersion rituals.
