A dramatic incident took place in the Supreme Court before the Chief Justice. During the listing of new cases, a man dressed as a lawyer created a commotion by reaching dangerously close to the Chief Justice’s desk. He appeared aggressive and attempted to touch his shoes, seemingly preparing to remove them. Security personnel immediately escorted him out of the courtroom. While being removed, he shouted the slogan, “Hindustan will not tolerate the insult of Sanatan.” He then apologized to Justice Vinod Kendra, saying, “This was not for you; it was only directed at Chief Justice Gavai.” Following the disruption, the Chief Justice calmly urged all lawyers to focus on their work, saying he would not be influenced by such actions. Court proceedings continued as normal. The incident, however, has raised serious questions about the security arrangements in the Supreme Court, though officials clarified that no dangerous object can be brought into the court premises.
