Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday said that the Bharatiya Janata Party’s clear objective is to form a government in Kerala, asserting that the party is steadily moving towards that goal. Addressing party workers and leaders during his Kerala visit, Shah stated that the BJP wants to free the state from the influence of both the Left Democratic Front (LDF) and the United Democratic Front (UDF). Amit Shah alleged that Kerala needs to be protected from “anti-national forces” and stressed that the BJP is committed to ensuring the security, development, and cultural values of the state. He said the people of Kerala are increasingly extending their support to the BJP and are looking for an alternative political vision focused on development and good governance. Calling the journey towards forming the government a step-by-step process, Shah said every organisational effort and public outreach programme is part of achieving the final goal of BJP rule in the state. He emphasised that the party aims to make Kerala a fully developed state while also safeguarding its long-standing faith, traditions, and social harmony. The Home Minister’s remarks come amid intensified BJP efforts under its “Mission South” strategy, as senior leaders continue outreach programmes and organisational strengthening across southern states ahead of upcoming elections.
