JDU Announces Candidates for Rajgir and Other Key Seats; LJP Yet to Release Official List Ahead of Bihar Elections

Ahead of the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, the JDU has finalized candidates for Rajgir, considered one of Nitish Kumar’s most important constituencies, along with 56 other seats. This formal announcement clarifies several speculations about constituencies that were rumored to be contentious within the NDA alliance.Sources suggest that while Chirag Paswan’s LJP was reportedly considering contesting some of these seats, the official allocation by JDU has restricted his influence, particularly in key constituencies like Nalanda. However, LJP may still field candidates in some friendly-fight constituencies. The official LJP candidate list is expected in two phases: the first by 2 PM and the second by 5 PM today, which will clarify the seat-sharing dynamics within NDA.Internal NDA tensions persist as leaders like Upendra Kushwaha and Chirag Paswan assess their positions, making the upcoming announcements crucial to determining if the alliance’s seat-sharing arrangements are truly settled.
