Janhit: Bihar Politics Heats Up Ahead of Elections, Amit Shah and Priyanka Gandhi Face Off in Champaran | ABP NEWS

As the cold winds begin to blow, political temperatures in Bihar are rising rapidly. The NDA and the Mahagathbandhan have begun executing their ground strategies, signaling an intense electoral battle ahead. In a significant move, Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited Bihar for the second time in eight days, addressing party workers in West Champaran’s Bettiah. Meanwhile, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra held a rally in East Champaran’s Motihari, energizing her party’s cadre. Both leaders chose Champaran — a land historically known for Gandhi’s Satyagraha — to make strong political statements. While Amit Shah held a key meeting with NDA MPs, MLAs, and senior leaders, Priyanka targeted the NDA government, accusing it of failing to generate employment in Bihar. She remarked that under Congress rule, Bihar produced IAS officers; today, it only sends out laborers. The Champaran region, comprising four Lok Sabha and 21 Assembly seats, is an NDA stronghold. In 2024, NDA swept all Lok Sabha seats here. Even in the 2015 and 2020 Assembly elections, the NDA dominated the region. With both camps ramping up efforts, Champaran is emerging as a key battleground ahead of the 2025 Bihar Assembly polls.
