Amid the Bihar Assembly elections, the RJD faces a serious legal challenge as the Rauz Avenue Court has framed charges against Lalu Prasad Yadav, Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav, and other accused in the IRCTC-related land-for-job scam case. The charges include IPC 420 (cheating), IPC 120B (criminal conspiracy), and Sections 13(2) and 13(1)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, with the latter two applicable only to Lalu Yadav. When questioned, Lalu, Rabri, and Tejashwi Yadav refused to admit guilt, stating they will contest the case in court. Rabri Yadav termed the case “wrong,” emphasizing the family’s intent to legally challenge the allegations amid growing political scrutiny.
