Indore Water Crisis: Madhya Pradesh Govt Faces Probe Over Indore Water Deaths

In Indore’s Bhagirathpura area, initial investigation reports reveal contaminated drinking water as the cause behind multiple deaths. Water samples tested positive for fecal matter, coliform, E. coli, and Clostridium bacteria, all linked to vomiting and diarrhea. Additionally, Vibrio cholerae, responsible for cholera, was found, highlighting severe health risks. BJP corporator Kamal Baghela revealed that complaints about the water had been submitted years ago, but action was delayed due to administrative processes. Six months ago, tender processes for pipeline replacement began but work was yet to start. The Madhya Pradesh High Court is set to hear a status report from the government today. Citizens and officials are awaiting accountability for this deadly negligence.
