Himachal Tragedy: Mud-House Collapse at Wedding Injures 25 Women in Chamba

A tragic accident occurred in Himachal Pradesh’s Chamba district during a wedding celebration when a mud-house structure suddenly collapsed, injuring 25 women. The incident took place in Sawa village of the Churah area, where a large group had gathered to perform and watch traditional dance. The upper portion of the old mud house, weakened by a damaged pillar, gave way under the weight of people standing on it. Several women fell together as the structure collapsed, leading to multiple injuries. All the victims were rushed to the Tissa hospital, where doctors confirmed that three to four women sustained serious injuries while the rest suffered minor wounds. District officials reached the spot, and rescue operations continue as authorities assess structural safety in the area.
