Exclusive: New Photo Identifies Umar Nabi at Turkman Gate Before Red Fort i20 Blast

An exclusive image released by investigators appears to show Umar Nabi, the prime suspect in the Red Fort i20 blast, inside a mosque at Turkman Gate shortly before the explosion. Agencies report CCTV corroboration and a DNA match with family samples that identify Umar as the driver of the i20 when it detonated at 6:52 PM. The photograph shows him leaving the mosque and later parking the vehicle in the Golden Mosque parking area near the Red Fort where it remained for hours before the blast. Investigators are meticulously reconstructing an eleven-hour route through Delhi using CCTV, toll and petrol pump timestamps, and witness statements. Umar’s connections to co-accused figures in Faridabad and links to Al-Falah University staff are subjects of ongoing probes after large quantities of ammonium nitrate were recovered from a related location. Multiple detentions and arrests have followed leads obtained from mobile call records, chat logs, and onsite forensic recovery. Officials say the new image and DNA confirmation strengthen prosecutorial evidence, but they caution that network-level links and external handlers require further validation. National agencies continue coordinated raids and interrogations as legal procedures and technical verification proceed in the coming days. Authorities urge calm and public cooperation.
