Delhi News: Yamuna River in Delhi Flows Above Danger Mark, Water Level Slowly Falls | ABP NEWS

The Yamuna River in Delhi continues to flow above the danger mark, with water levels recorded at 205.91 meters early morning, though slowly receding. Water was released from Hathnikund Barrage, causing the river to swell, prompting evacuations in low-lying areas. Officials predict the water level will remain above the danger mark throughout the day but will gradually decline. Meanwhile, in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, the Yamuna is flooding, threatening local areas and submerging historic ghats. Over 82,000 cusecs of water are being discharged toward Agra from Gokul Barrage. The flood situation is part of broader heavy rainfall impacts across India, while Venezuela and parts of China also face severe flooding and storm damage. Amid these challenges, authorities remain vigilant, monitoring water levels and managing traffic near critical points like the Loha Pul bridge in Delhi.
