The forensic investigation into the Delhi car blast has entered a crucial phase as the FSL has begun analyzing 42 samples collected from the explosion site. These samples include parts of the i20 car such as tires, chassis, the CNG cylinder, and the bonnet. Preliminary reports suggest the possible presence of ammonium nitrate, though a second explosive substance is yet to be identified. Investigators have also recovered body parts from the car, and DNA samples have been collected from Dr. Umar’s family for cross-verification. The FSL findings will play a vital role in confirming the nature and composition of the explosives used in the blast that killed 12 people.
