A disturbing video of terrorist Dr. Umar, who carried out the deadly I20 car blast near Delhi’s Red Fort, killing 13 innocent people, has now surfaced. The clip was reportedly recorded shortly before his death, after police raids intensified and agencies began closing in on him. In the video, Umar is seen sitting alone, defending suicide attacks by calling them “martyrdom operations,” and claiming that suicide bombing is a “misunderstood concept.” He argues that choosing one’s own method and time of death is not suicide, despite the fact that Islamic scholars have repeatedly declared such acts haram. Umar attempts to glorify his actions, trying to present himself as a hero for future radicalized youth. Investigators say he made the video to inspire others associated with terror outfits such as Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent. Sources reveal that the clip was circulated through multiple extremist-linked social media accounts before reaching agencies. Police are also probing the involvement of arrested associates, Dr. Muzammil from Faridabad and Dr. Adil from Saharanpur and whether similar videos exist. Umar had a large quantity of explosives and knew how to build circuits and IEDs, indicating he was leading the module. The video’s exact location and the device used for recording are part of the ongoing investigation.
