Delhi Blast Plot Deepens: NIA Reveals 8 Suspects Planned Serial Blasts Across Four Locations

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has uncovered a major terror conspiracy behind the Delhi Red Fort blast, revealing that eight suspects were plotting serial explosions across four locations in the capital. According to intelligence sources, the accused operated in pairs, conducting reconnaissance in various parts of Delhi as part of a larger plan to execute multiple blasts in a coordinated sequence. Officials state that the arrested suspects including Dr. Muzammil, Adil, and Shariq Sharif were part of a white-collar terror module led by Dr. Umar Nabi, already confirmed as the Red Fort car bomber through DNA evidence. The group’s intention, investigators say, was to carry out multiple high-casualty attacks designed to paralyze the national capital and spread nationwide fear. Recovered items such as assault rifles, walkie-talkies, electronic timers, and over 2,500 kg of ammonium nitrate point to the scale of the intended destruction. The swift coordination between Delhi Police, NIA, and Faridabad authorities helped prevent the broader plan from succeeding. With the identification of the eight key operatives, search operations are intensifying across Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. NIA officials are now focused on tracing their hideouts, financial links, and possible foreign handlers.
