Delhi Airport Brawl: Air India Express Pilot Suspended After Alleged Assault on Passenger

A shocking incident has surfaced from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, where an Air India Express pilot has been accused of assaulting a fellow passenger. According to official sources, the pilot was not on duty at the time of the incident and was travelling as a passenger with another airline when the altercation occurred. The injured passenger, identified as Ankit Dewan, alleged that a verbal argument escalated into physical violence, leaving him injured. Dewan shared photographs of his injuries on social media and tagged the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Air India, and Delhi Police, seeking action and accountability. He also posted an image of the accused pilot along with details of the incident. Air India Express, in an official statement, confirmed its awareness of the matter and stated that the accused employee has been suspended pending the completion of an internal investigation. The airline emphasized that it does not condone any form of misconduct and is fully cooperating with authorities. The incident has raised serious questions about passenger safety and security protocols at airports, despite heavy surveillance and personnel presence. Authorities are expected to examine CCTV footage and witness statements as part of the ongoing inquiry. Further details are awaited as the investigation progresses.
