Authorities in Ghazipur have increased the reward amount for the arrest of two accused in the Vineet Rai murder case, raising it from ₹50,000 to ₹1 lakh each. The incident dates back to May 29, when Vineet Rai was allegedly murdered. The accused, identified as Sonu Yadav and Alok Dubey, are currently absconding, and police have intensified efforts to trace and apprehend them. Earlier, another accused in the same case, Shankar Pandey, was also declared wanted, while Kamlesh Bind was killed in an encounter and had a reward of ₹1 lakh on his head. Police officials are conducting raids across multiple districts in Uttar Pradesh and are also monitoring border areas, including the Nepal border, to prevent the suspects from fleeing the state. Authorities believe the increased reward will help accelerate public cooperation and improve the chances of arresting the remaining accused. The investigation into the murder case is ongoing, with multiple police teams actively working on leads.
