Ahead of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust’s key meeting in Ayodhya, fresh developments indicate that trust member Gopal Rao has arrived at the Ram Temple complex as preparations intensify for crucial deliberations. The meeting is expected to focus on the reported resignations of General Secretary Champat Rai and trustee Anil Mishra, while differing opinions continue to emerge from sections of the religious community. According to sources, one group of saints has urged the trust not to take an immediate decision on the resignations until the Special Investigation Team (SIT) completes its inquiry. Supporters of this view argue that a final decision should be based on the complete investigation rather than preliminary findings. Others, however, believe that accountability should be established without unnecessary delay. The trust is expected to discuss the resignations, administrative reforms, financial oversight, governance improvements, and future organizational restructuring during the meeting. Security arrangements around the Ram Temple complex have also been strengthened, with restricted access for authorized participants. If the trust accepts the resignations, the posts would become vacant, requiring a future meeting to appoint new office bearers and finalize additional administrative changes. Decisions regarding senior appointments, including the trust’s long-term management structure and operational reforms, are expected to follow through subsequent deliberations. No official decision has been announced yet, and the outcome of the meeting is expected to be communicated through an official press briefing after deliberations conclude. The meeting is being closely watched as its resolutions could shape the future governance, transparency, and administrative framework of one of India’s most significant religious institutions.
