In Madhya Pradesh’s Raisen district, the rape accused Salman wanted for raping a 6year-old girl, was arrested by the police from Bhopal’s Gandhi Nagar area. According to sources, while the accused was being taken to Raisen Police station, the police vehicle got punctured near Bhojpur, a location between Bhopal and Raisen. As police personnel stepped out to check the tyre, Salman reportedly snatched a pistol from one of the constables and attempted to escape. In response, the police retaliated and fired at him and a bullet hit his leg. Salman was immediately taken to JP Hospital for medical treatment. Officials stated that the accused has been admitted to the hospital. Once his condition stabilizes, he will be interrogated further as part of the ongoing investigation.
