Breaking: Pakistani Drones Spotted Near LoC in Jammu and Kashmir, Indian Army on High Alert

Tensions escalated along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir after multiple Pakistani drones were spotted near border areas, triggering swift action by the Indian Army. The drone sightings were reported in several sensitive sectors, including Rajouri and Poonch, late in the evening as darkness set in, causing immediate security alerts across the region. According to defence sources, Indian troops opened precautionary fire after detecting the drones, while advanced anti-drone systems were activated to neutralise any potential threat. Following the Army’s response, the drones reportedly retreated back towards Pakistani territory. Security forces have since launched extensive search operations in the area, and intelligence agencies have also been put on high alert. This marks the second instance in the past 48 hours of suspected Pakistani drone activity near the LoC. Officials believe the drones may have been deployed to assess Indian troop preparedness, test anti-drone defence systems, or potentially assist in cross-border smuggling of weapons and supplies to Pakistan-backed terrorists. Despite harsh winter conditions, snowfall, and near-zero visibility in forward areas, Indian soldiers remain deployed in full strength to counter any infiltration attempts. Senior military leadership has reiterated that any provocation by Pakistan will be met with a firm and decisive response. The situation along the border continues to be closely monitored.
