BREAKING: North Railway announces special trains for NEET exam day across Lucknow Prayagraj &Varanasi

In a significant move aimed at easing travel for medical entrance aspirants, the North Railway has announced the operation of special train services ahead of the NEET examination scheduled for June 21. The decision comes in response to the anticipated surge in passenger movement across key examination centres in Uttar Pradesh and surrounding regions. According to the plan, special trains will be deployed from major junctions, including Lucknow’s Charbagh station, ensuring smooth connectivity for candidates travelling to their respective exam centres. Additional special services will also operate on high-demand routes such as Prayagraj and Varanasi, which typically witness heavy student traffic during national-level examinations. Railway officials have stated that four dedicated special trains are being arranged from Lucknow Charbagh alone to manage the expected rush. These services are designed to reduce congestion in regular passenger trains and provide timely, stress-free travel for students appearing in one of India’s most competitive entrance examinations. The initiative also includes monitoring of station-level crowd management, increased ticketing support, and deployment of additional staff to assist candidates and their families. Authorities are expected to release detailed timetables soon, ensuring passengers can plan their journeys in advance without last-minute inconvenience. This move is part of a broader effort by Indian Railways to support major national examinations by providing reliable and accessible transportation. By strengthening connectivity across key educational hubs like Prayagraj and Varanasi, the railway network aims to minimize travel-related stress for students on an important academic day. Officials have also advised candidates to arrive early at stations and carry valid examination documents along with their travel tickets to avoid delays during boarding and verification processes. Further updates regarding routes and schedules are expected shortly as preparations continue.
