Breaking News: Violence Erupts in Manipur a Day After New Government Sworn In, Vehicles Torched

Fresh violence has erupted in Manipur just a day after the formation of the new state government, raising serious concerns over the fragile law-and-order situation. Reports from Churachandpur district indicate that unrest broke out soon after the swearing-in ceremony, with miscreants setting multiple vehicles on fire in different parts of the area. According to sources, clashes were reported between local residents and security forces when police teams reached the spot to control the situation. Stone-pelting incidents were witnessed, and several police vehicles were also targeted and torched during the unrest. Visuals from Churachandpur show burning vehicles and heightened tension across the district. In response to the violence, authorities have deployed heavy security forces across sensitive areas to prevent further escalation. A shutdown has also been announced in Churachandpur as a precautionary measure. Security agencies remain on high alert, closely monitoring the situation on the ground. The sudden flare-up of violence so soon after the new government took charge has intensified political and administrative pressure, as officials work to restore peace and stability in the conflict-hit region.
