Breaking News: Tragedy On Vaishno Devi Route, 30 Dead After Cloudburst Near Shrine

A tragic incident has struck the holy Vaishno Devi pilgrimage route, where at least 30 people have lost their lives following a devastating cloudburst. The mishap occurred near the sacred shrine, leaving behind scenes of chaos and grief. Survivors and eyewitnesses from Sikar district in Rajasthan, who were returning from their pilgrimage, shared the horrific experience with reporters.According to eyewitnesses, they had narrowly escaped the calamity by just 10–15 minutes. “We were a group of 40 people traveling in four vehicles. We had just descended from Mata Rani’s darbar when suddenly heavy rainfall and a cloudburst struck. The situation turned disastrous within minutes,” said one of the survivors. The pilgrims expressed gratitude that they managed to return safely, though shaken by the tragedy.The eyewitnesses described the scene as one of panic, with people screaming and rushing for safety as the sudden water flow swept through the path. Authorities and rescue teams have reached the affected areas, carrying out relief operations and evacuations to prevent further loss. The state government has issued directions for immediate support to victims’ families.This disaster has once again raised concerns about safety measures on pilgrimage routes prone to natural calamities.
