The Samajwadi Party has extended its support to the recently implemented regulations introduced by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Party spokesperson Fakhrul Hasan Chand described the new rules as a constructive move aimed at strengthening India’s higher education framework. He stated that the regulations are designed to improve academic standards while safeguarding the rights and interests of both students and teachers. According to Chand, the new UGC norms will help bring transparency and fairness into the education system, ensuring that justice prevails rather than causing any form of discrimination or imbalance. He emphasized that regulatory reforms in education are essential to address long-standing issues related to governance, accountability, and academic freedom. The party believes that these changes will contribute to a more equitable and efficient learning environment across universities and colleges. The Samajwadi Party’s endorsement comes amid mixed political reactions, adding a supportive voice to the ongoing national discussion on higher education reforms.
