Breaking News: North India Blanketed in Snow, Stunning Views and Tourist Rush

Heavy snowfall continues across the northern states of India, including Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, creating breathtaking winter landscapes and challenging conditions. The mountains and valleys are draped in thick white snow, while temperatures in plains and hill stations have dropped sharply. Key tourist destinations like Shimla, Mussoorie, Dhanaulti, Auli, and Gangotri are witnessing a surge of visitors eager to experience the snowfall firsthand. Roads and highways have been disrupted, and authorities are actively clearing snow to restore traffic flow. Srinagar recorded temperatures as low as -5°C, and several flights were canceled due to the adverse weather. Despite these challenges, tourists are enjoying the snow, playing, capturing pictures, and making the most of this rare natural spectacle. Families with children are especially seen relishing the snow in hill areas, where up to 2 feet of fresh snow has accumulated on roads and open spaces. Officials have advised caution while traveling, particularly on slippery mountain roads. This snowfall marks one of the heaviest in years, highlighting both the beauty and hazards of winter in the northern Himalayas. Snowfall is expected to continue in the coming days, promising more scenic landscapes and potential disruptions.
