Breaking News: No Technical Fault in Air India Crash: Italian Media Report

In a major development regarding the June 12, 2025 Air India crash in Ahmedabad, an Italian media report—citing findings from aviation agency investigations—has claimed that there was no technical malfunction in the aircraft. The London-bound Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner had crashed shortly after takeoff, resulting in multiple fatalities. According to the report, investigators have found no evidence of mechanical failure in the aircraft. Instead, it is being alleged that the fuel switches were deliberately turned off by the pilots. The aircraft was commanded by Captain Sumit Sabharwal, with Captain Clive Kunder serving as co-pilot. The claims, if verified, could significantly alter the direction of the investigation into one of the most tragic aviation incidents in recent times. However, official confirmation from Indian aviation authorities is awaited. The findings reported by Italian media are based on sources linked to aviation agencies, and a final investigation report is yet to be made public. The incident had shocked the nation, and fresh revelations are likely to raise further questions about cockpit actions and procedural protocols
